Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Pioneer SX-525. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Pioneer SX-525 power supply board, amplifier board, phono EQ board, and preamp board, plus it includes upgraded replacement main capacitors and 4 new output transistors. Lights I have listed separately. This includes the following: Power Supply Board: 5 capacitors7 diodes1 transistor Amplifier Board: 12 capacitors16 transistors2 resistors Phono EQ Board: 8 capacitors4 transistors Preamp Board:8 capacitors2 transistors Tuner Board: 12 capacitors 3 new main capacitors (same diameter as the old caps so they will fit the clamps)2 capacitors (one for the meter, one for the AWX-012 board) Instructions These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. The main caps are one Epcos 3300 uf 100v cap and two Cornell-Dubilier 4700 uf 63v caps, the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, and the transistors and diodes are the correct Fairchild/Onsemi subs for the original transistors. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. Two of the new main caps are a hair smaller than the old ones, so if you put a single layer of electrical tape around the base they will fit the clamps perfectly. This kit may not fix your Pioneer SX-525, but it's pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. US shipping and handling is $6, and international is $28.
