The unit plays tapes but has other issues. Some of the buttons do not respond accordingly at all times. For example, at times the Stop button would act as the FF button. This happened at times with a few different buttons as well. That was the extent of the testing done. The unit connects to the TV and tapes do play properly. Physically, the unit has scrapes and scratches, as well as tape residue on the top. The previous owner was a smoker and the unit does have a strong smell of smoke. This is being sold as is, with no returns.
