Tested NOS using an Amplitrex AT1000 tube tester at 83% ip and 85% gm.. EXTREMELY RARE Made by Western Electric in the early 1950’s, they exhibit the exact same desirable features as the Western Electric 350B. The National Union (Western Electric made) 350B is a nearly perfect replacement for the 6L6 beam power tetrode; one of the only differences is the filament current draw of 1.6 amp for the 350B versus the 0.9 amp filament current draw for the 6L6GC. These exceptionally rare tubes sound airy, very three dimensional and extraordinarily powerful. The Western Electric made National Union 350B is THE super 6L6. All of these tubes, being made in the 1950’s, have the early 1950’s “foil D” style getter.
