10″ Recone Kit for Cerwin Vega E312 10W3 woofer 8 ohms (note on dustcap)
10″ 8 ohm recone lit for the 10W3 woofer used in the E312. Kits include everything in the picture including 4 piece shim kit which allows accurate shimming of any coil. Notes: These new 10″ cones look and fit great, with red over gray foam like most originals, however these cones do have what looks like a slight watermark. It is a slight color/dot distortion from the mold. It’s not terrible, but it is there, and my entire production run has this. I tried to detail it in the picture. Really only visible in certain lighting, but I wanted to point it out. Also, with many of this series woofers, they came originally with several different spiders. The most common was the 5.9″, and this kit includes that common size. Some came with a spider with a smaller 4.9″ OD. I do have those spiders if you want them. Just let me know when you order, and I’m happy to substitute those in your kit. I’ll include enough epoxy, and glues to do your woofer. If you order multiple kits, I’ll include bigger bottles of glue. One epoxy will do two woofers. Black glue for dustcap and lead wires, white glue for foam to frame. Most 10″ cerwin woofers used the 2.75″ dustcap, so that is included. I have seen a few with the 3.75″ dustcap, so if you want that size, just message me when you order, and I’m happy to substitute those for you. The 10W3 woofer usually originally cane with an inverted dustcap which is not currently available. 12″ 4 Ohm Recone Kit for Cerwin Vega RE30 REW12 REW-12 woofer
Recone kit for the Cerwin Vega re30 REW12 woofer. Red over gray foam like original. All new high precision voice coils, on ALUMINUM formers like the originals. Cerwin used aluminum formers for a reason. They are stronger and dissipate heat better than kapton, which is what everyone else uses in their kits these days. Several years, and more recones than I can count went into developing these to provide kits that not only take the pounding that I know you’re going to give them, but also match the t/s parameters of the originals. These cones are pressed rather than pulp, so they are thinner but more dense, and retain the same mass as original. Kits include everything in the picture. Shims available on request. 15″ 4 Ohm Recone Kit for Cerwin Vega LE15D LE-15D subwoofer DVC Correct cone
Recone kit for the Cerwin Vega LE15-D subwoofer. These were developed specifically, exactly, for this woofer. Ribbed cone like the original and pleated accordion surrounds. Several years, and more recones than I can count went into developing these to provide kits that not only take the pounding that I know you’re going to give them, but also match the t/s parameters of the originals. These kits are different from the other kits available in several ways. All the other kits I have seen, use the 5H2040 cones. Those cones were originally developed for the eh series woofers, which were very different. They used a smaller spider which sat down inside the typically used landing, so those 5h2040 cones at 3.825 deep, are too deep to sit properly when using the correct spider. Also, since those EH series woofers were used as a midbass in sound reinforcement tops, those cones are extremely thin and light. About 26 grams, which is half of the original LE cone weight. Plus the surround ribbing has much shallower ribs, limiting excursion. These new Brew City kits solve all those issues. A close look at the surround, and comparing these to the originals, and the other kits out there, will tell the story. Plus these are much stiffer, and weigh in at 52g. The only drawback to these, is that the ribbing doesn’t go down the cone quite as far, which could not be avoided. Most spec sheets specify the 4.5″ dustcap which is included, but if you wanted the 3.75″ dustcap, just let me know. These kits include the DUAL VOICE COIL coils specified for these.
