Pioneer PL-990 Full Automatic Stereo Turntable Turns On But Doesn’t Spin
Unit powers on and the internal lights illuminate, but the platter does not spin when the start button is pressed or when the tonearm is moved. It appears that the drive belt may be loose, stretched, or unhooked from the motor pulley.

This unit has a brand new belt. When we tested it had some static in the background. May need a new stylus. We don’t know much about turntables so that is just a guess.
