Although this receiver is currently fully functional, it’s quite old, so you should understand that it’s impossible to know when it might suddenly malfunction. As you can see, the cover has a green plastic film on it, which looks nice, but I think it’s to hide many unsightly scratches.

Tape monitor source switch needs to be cleaned or replaced as fiddling with it will create static and channel cut outs, leave it alone and both channels are clear. Someone has been inside sometime as one of the cabinet screws is stripped and another is missing. It weighs a ton and a half so shipping is expensive –

VINTAGE MARANTZ 2235 stereo receiver works well needs back blue lights speakers?
So this was untouched by human hands for YEARS. It plays well on AM FM but was untested on all other selections like aux., tape one, etc. I don’t have any components to test and those options were never used.
