It appears that the bottom panel of the receiver was removed specifically to accommodate the installation of this cabinet.

KENWOOD KR 4070 Fully Serviced Cleaned Vintage stereo Receiver 40 Watts
Tuner works good strong reception. Replaced the bad stereo lamp. There were two xstrs on the known to fail list so I replaced them only to find the right channel would make a loud occasional popping sound.
