Up for sale here is this complete replacement lighting set for the Pioneer SX-450. You will receive: Three (3) warm white LED wedge lamps (for the tuning dial light diffuser) Two (2) wired 4mm warm white LEDs (for the power light & FM stereo light) These are top-quality bulbs, and are the exact same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer gear. These are top-of-the-line lights–I love using them! The warm white LED wedge lamps will give a nice clear white glow–they’re a little brighter than the original incandescent bulbs. The LEDs will last forever and will run much cooler than the original incandescent bulbs, so they won’t damage the vinyl case covering the way incandescents can. If you want this kit with all incandescent lamps instead, I have that kit available here. You will need a soldering iron, wire cutters, needlenose pliers, and a Philips screwdriver. Be very careful not to damage the tuning dial cord when you’re soldering! If you wrap the dial cord in aluminum foil ahead of time, that will help protect it. In order to replace the original soldered-in dial diffuser bulbs with the wedge LEDs, you can either just solder them to the old wires, or you can pull the bulbs out of the plastic wedge mounts and solder directly to the wires–that’s what I do. All primary and indicator bulbs have been replaced with LEDs sans the dial indicator pointer which worked so I left alone. DC offsets are within spec and both channels bias has been set to 25 millivolts.
