Pioneer RT-707 or RT-701 Replacement Spindle Screw – Non Original
Up for sale is this replacement spindle screw for the Pioneer RT-700 series reel to reel decks. Ain’t that a bitch you pay good money for a vintage deck, the mutt you buy it from ships it out wrapped in bubble wrap (worthless). The gorillas at the shipping company used your package for soccer practice and when it shows up one or both of the spindles have broken off. No factory replacements are available. You search and there’s none to be found. Here is a affordable solution. This is an correct length screw with the correct metric pitch/thread so it won’t damage your take-up motor shafts. The head has been milled down to fit inside of the barrel of the hold down twist clamp but will still retain the spring. I’ve sold dozens with no fitament problems. Pioneer Reel to Reel RT-707 RT-701 Side Rails Cheek Set
Maybe its my borderline OCD because when I looked at my RT-707 the rack mount notches always drove me crazy (none of my other Pioneer gear has them!). So I made these. They look simple, but that’s deceiving. I wanted the layer lines to be horizontal to match the direction of the silver face ‘grain’. The problem with 3D printing tall thin items is the tend to wobble and fall over. After many (I mean many) attempts I found the way to keep them stable is to put indents on the back so a support will connect and hold them ridged all the way to the top! I think the result looks pretty good. These would also work great to hide rack rash your RT-707 (or 701) might have. I’d love to make a set for the RT-909/901 but don’t have the height. If you have one and would like a free set, just send me the measurement (in mm) and I’ll print one out. Once you confirm the fit, I’ll offer them for sale in a separate listing. My first production run is in black but I’m considering other colors. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Up for sale here is this set of 4 new hard rubber feet with screws. These are incredibly well-built heavy-duty feet, and are perfect replacements for vintage Pioneer feet for the big receivers and amps, as well as some of the big reel-to-reel decks like the RT-701 and RT-707. They are much higher-quality than the original plastic feet, and can hold incredible amounts of weight. They will work great on other gear as well. The feet are 38mm wide and 19.2mm high. They come with four stainless steel screws for screwing them to the metal bottom cover. These are really nice high-impact hard rubber with internal metal washers and look really good.
