Technics SA-700 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Relay SA-700A
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Technics SA-700 or SA-700A receiver. This includes all the parts you need to completely recap a Technics SA-700 or SA-700A, and includes replacement main filter capacitors that will fit the board perfectly, plus replacements for the two 2SA798 dual transistors, 23 other transistors, and the relay. This does not include new lights or fuses. Lights I have available here. If you need them, correct replacement outputs are MJ21195G/MJ21196G (four of each), available here. Please don’t buy any of the fake Chinese transistors on eBay–those are counterfeit and will blow up. Just use “add to cart” on everything you want, and I will refund the extra shipping when I send out. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the two large filter capacitors, which are replaced with new Cornell-Dubilier 15000 uf 63v caps that fit the board perfectly. They are a little thinner than the originals, but the clamps aren’t strictly necessary, or you can wrap something around the new caps so they fit the clamps. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic FC, Wima film, and Cornell-Dubilier for the filter caps. New transistors are Onsemi KSC1845s. The 2SA798s in the amp section don’t always NEED to be replaced, but it’s a good idea for longevity. The kit includes 2 tiny adapter boards and tiny SMD dual transistors to replace them. You will need to assemble these, so you’ll need either a very fine-point soldering iron tip and very thin solder, or you’ll need SMD-working equipment. Or you can skip that step. This is a fairly simple rebuild, but you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with 60W or 100W incandescent bulb.
