Each adapter is hand crafted by me, and not mass produced in a factory someplace. Update: Each adapter now has an insulator on the bottom as of June 20th 2021. This insulator is shown in the last photo of this listing. This allows the use of our adapter with sockets recessed below a metal chassis plate. Features include: – Tough gold pins with a thick gold plating that are much stronger than the competitions. We cannot ship without exact information as we can configure this adapter in 4 different ways. If we cannot get the information needed by ebay’s required shipping timeframe, we will refund the order as we have no options. If an order is placed for the wrong version by accident, we can exchange the adapter at your shipping expense. Also note, our adapters are not voltage converters, they are pinout adapters. Example: A 6sn7 tube cannot be run in a 12au7 socket that is running 12v. If said socket is running at 6v using the center tap feature of the 12au7 and pin family, then our adapter would work. This adapter is very unique in that it can be configured to suit the individuals needsOption 1: Converts a 12SN7 and other like pinned tube to a 12AU7 socket or like pinned socket (vast number of options). Heater voltage must be 12.6V. Option 2: Converts a 6SN7 tube to a 12AU7 socket. Your device must be configured to use the center tap of a 12AU7 tube and run at 6.3V to work properly – Please confirm with your manufacturer that your amplifier is configured this way. This is the standard adapter for our own G1217 amplifiers as well as many others such as the Bottlehead Crack and tubs4hifi’s 12au7 based VTA70 board upgrade. Option 3: Converts a 6SN7 tube to a 6922 / 6DJ8 or other like pinned tube socket Option 4: Converts a 12SN7 or 6SN7 tube to be used specifically in the G1217 Project Solstice amplifier When ordering, please specify exactly which option you need. If clarification is not reached, we will be forced to cancel the sale. Important notes: With any tube adapter with exposed pins, DO NOT GRAB THE PINS and try to remove the adapter / tube with the amplifier turned on!
