The AKAI GX-215D Reel-to-Reel Tape Deck is a vintage audio device from the renowned brand Akai. This stereo tape deck features 3 motors and 3 heads, providing high-quality sound reproduction. Despite its age, this product is somewhat functional. It plays music and the gauges sometimes come on. There are some blemishes on the outside cracked plastic (see pics), and the right spindle (the knob the reel sits on) is slightly bent (it still plays, however the reel wobbles a bit and touches the back, see video). The knob may be able to be bent back straight, I just don’t want to attempt and break it. Otherwise, super cool unit that sounds amazing and fun to play with. Enjoy!
