This listing is for Altec Wedge Speaker With 409-8D Coaxial Speaker And Transformer These are a custom made wedge-style speaker cabinets, measuring 18″ wide and 18″ tall, and 12″ deep at the base and about 5 1/2″ at the top. These speakers were part of the sound system used for many years. Access to the components is from the back. The cabinets are 3/4″ plywood / 1/2″ plywood in pretty good shape. They have been scratched and scuffed as a result of being removed then transported / donated / picked up etc. Still in decent shape. Grill cloth is excellent on all speakers – not really cloth but more of that industrial see-through tough fabric mesh stuff popular in the 60’s and 70’s. The exterior plywood looks like birch plywood with a varnish finish.
