Early 50’s Amperex Philips 12AU7 ECC82 Welded – Long Plate Tube Good Holland
Very early Amperex 12AU7 with welded plates. Tests 1164/1104 in a Maxi-preamp 2 where typical NOS is 1400-1600 and min is about 950 at 200 volts. Gain is like NOS at 16.8/17.2. CBS print code is early 54′.

These two Amperex 7308 are very strong. These sound significantly better than the tubes made 10 years later and labeled 6DJ8. These were tested on B&K 650 (the best good-bad tester ever made) and my Amplitrex.
