    I have been servicing McIntosh units for a while. With years I’ve developed deep respect toward McIntosh gear. It is a pity to see how many units are suffering from always failing incandescent bulbs! How much money is wasted for services to replace those incandescent bulbs over and over again! After many years of back and forth I decided to develop a perfect green bulbs for the lettering/paneling. The green color of the lettering, as time and practice showed, fades away and becomes less green. Due to this I decided to develop this green colored LED bulbs with foggy lens and proper voltage. I got in touch with a manufacturer of LED bulbs and worked with them to develop this LED bulbs. I am glad to announce that I succeeded. I am very happy with the result and am sure you will be too! This auction includes everything you need to update/upgrade your McIntosh C32 and give it a facelift. These are frosted lens bulbs. The frosted lens allows much wider and even light distribution compared to a clear lens. There is no halo effect with the frosted lens. Included: 7 x 14V Green LED bi-Pin bulbs 1 x bayonet bulb LED bulbs are much superior in comparison to the original incandescent bulbs. These do not produce any heat, heat that damages internal filters and boards. These have milky lens that allows the light to spread at a wide angle just like in an incandescent bulb. (Easy and straight forward) Included: 1 x Instructions with color images and step-by-step guidelines (This comes in digital form, can be printed.) 4 x pieces of blue light filter elements 5.5″ x 3.5″, enough for the 2 meters. You can use either one or 3 at a time to make it deep blue shade. Old gel filters turned brown and brittle with age due to heat generated by the incandescent OEM bulbs. 4 x 6.3V Green LED bulbs for paneling/lettering 4 x 6.3 warm white for meters. I have seen many poor quality restoration of equipment that cost way too much to its owners.In 99% of the cases there were only few parts replaced, instead of a full and proper restoration job. On the other hand, if one succeeded in finding a good tech, a wait time is usually 6-12 months for the unit to be serviced. I have seen many bad quality restorations/fix jobs done to these units that made them sound cheap and very low quality. Power / Filter stage caps are those large silver cans mounted on top of the chassis and sometimes underneath. This restoration pack will make a huge difference in the sound quality. All the parts are of high quality Japanese Nichicon / Panasonic / IC / United Chemi capacitors. I provide several instructions on how to mount those new electrolytic caps. The best one is to rebuild those original cans. You will receive a step-by-step instructions and all the proper caps needed for that. This technique will keep the original look of the unit. I am extremely particular about the quality of the parts provided with this kit. Knowing how many bogus/fake caps, diodes, resistors etc. out there, I source all the parts from reputable whole-sellers and buy them in bulk.
