Don’t fool around with NOS capacitors unless you are looking for trouble. Please read the Disclaimer below before purchasing. Although targeted for the MC75, this kit can also be used on other amplifiers as well. Our Power Supply Refurbishing Kit includes the following: (A) (2) 80/40/30/20 @525 V Twist Lock Cans CE Manufacturing USA Made, Brand New Made in the USA, to Mallory’s original specs, on Mallorys original machinery. 80 µF, 40 µf, 30 µF and 20 µF section, all rated at 525 VDC. 1-3/8″ diameter x 3″ tall Made in the USA by CE Manufacturing You can replace the the (2) 100/30 uf cans in the MC75 with these (connect the 80/40/20 uf sections together to get increased capacitance of 140 uf, use the 30 uf as is). These cans can be used anywhere the original cans of similar size are used. OR (Depending on Availability) (2) 100/100 @500V Twist Lock Cans CE Manufacturing USA Made, Brand New Made in the USA, to Mallory’s original specs, on Mallorys original machinery. 2 sections – both 100 µF @ 500 VDC -10%, +50% tolerance 55° temperature rating 1-3/8″ diameter x 4″ tall You can replace the the (2) 100/30 uf cans in the MC240 with these directly. Connect the first 100 section to where th old went, and connect the second 100 section where the 30 section went. Very simple direct replacement connections. These cans can be used anywhere the original cans of similar size are used. (B) (2) x CTech USA Made 105C 250uf/250V or (Depending on stock) (2) x German Made Authenticap 85C 250uf/250V (or 330uf/250V) Brand New Isolated Twist Lock Cans for the voltage doubler These are also direct fit, no chassis modifications or clamps required. (C) (1) 22uf /200V Electrolytic for replacing the Bias Filter Cpacitor. (Note: this is supplied as either a single 22 uf capacitor rated at 200V or greater, or (2) 47 uf capacitors rated at 100V, to be used in series). (D) (3) 1000V PIV Silicon Diode for replacing the Selinium rectifier and both main rectifiers (E) inrush thermistor and 2 .01 uf diode snubbers (F) (1) 10K Trim Potentiometer (POT) (we actually give you a few different values), for adjusting the bias voltage to the proper level (compensating for the lower silicon diode drop and adding more precision). The POT is simply uses to determine the correct resistor value for your bias circuit, of which you then obtain and install. Its explained in the insatalliton tips. (G) Guide to installation – offer tips for easier installation- assumes you have the tools and technical knowledge and experience to do the work.
