Up for sale here is this recap kit for the Dual CS 721 turntable. The old capacitors start getting leaky or short out, resulting in speed issues. This will take care of most of the circuit-board-related issues you will see with these turntables, except if you have a bad IC chip or transistor. Leaky capacitors can damage the transistors or chips, so even if your turntable is working, you should still recap it. This kit includes replacements for the axial electrolytic capacitor, the other electrolytic capacitors, the two tantalum capacitors, and the three “safety capacitors.” These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I work on vintage stereo gear. Capacitors are Supertech, Nichicon PW, Wima film, and Kemet film caps. The axial 470 uf capacitor is upgraded to a 1000 uf cap, which will work better. If you would prefer a 470 uf 50v axial cap instead, just let me know and I can switch it. I will include fairly basic instructions, but this is a little complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron. Please see my pictures for details.
