NOS HAFLER 3PDT Miniature Slide Switch (P500 Amplifier): P/N SWH-136/SZ117 (USA)
You are bidding on (1) NOS Hafler miniature slide switch, 3PDT, as used in the P500 professional power amplifier and others, P/N SZ117 or SWH-136 (same switch, one is the older part number and one is the newer part number). Quality switch made in the USA by CW Industries. Switch is marked “3A A.C. 0.5A D.C. 125V”. Mounting holes are threaded for 4-40 screws, on 0.8125″ centers (13/16″); the slide button itself is roughly 0.21″ W X 0.125″ H X 0.21″ D. Vintage Electron Inc. possesses the largest inventory of NOS Dynaco parts available anywhere in the world, having purchased both the remaining warehouse inventory of the old Sound Values/Stereo Cost Cutters Inc. (SV/SCC) operation as well as the remaining inventory of the old Dynaco National Service Center. 2 New 18000 uf 100v Capacitors Phase Linear 700 Hafler DH-500 Adcom Main Filter
Up for sale here is this set of 2 brand new Nippon Chemi-Con 18000 uf 100v capacitors. These are drop-in replacements for the Hafler DH-500, Phase Linear 700, and Adcom 555 series, but they will work in some other gear as well. They fit the old clamps perfectly! These are the same capacitors I use when I am rebuilding vintage gear. These measure 63.5mm (2.5″) in diameter and 80.6mm (3.175″) tall, and use screw terminals. The screws are included. These are authentic Made in USA capacitors. Please note that the screws on these are sometimes thicker than the screws on the old main caps, so you may need to enlarge the terminals on the receiver in order to accommodate this. You can drill out the old ring terminals and center mounting piece with a 5mm drill bit if you want, or just replace the old ring terminals, or cut the ring terminals open to make them into spade terminals. Please see my pictures for details. The current batch of capacitors I am selling has 30C32L codes on them, and the boxes are dated 2340, so these were made the 40th week of 2023. A note about installation: Main filter capacitors are usually used to provide the positive and negative rails to the amplifier section, so one of them will appear to be wired backwards (with positive to chassis ground). This is normal. Before you replace your capacitors, take some clear pictures of the wiring so you will know how to connect the new ones. If your equipment starts blowing fuses after replacing the main filter capacitors, you probably wired one backwards. US shipping and handling is $12, and international is $28.
