Pioneer RT-707 Complete Head Stack – Low Wear – TESTED GOOD
These heads are very low wear – examine the photos and see the narrow wear patches that are even top to bottom. When I list heads, I advise that it’s a real challenge installing even low wear used heads on a deck unless the undisturbed fixed guides are included and the heads haven’t been disturbed since the last pro set-up – see the sealing varnish on the azimuth screws.

The important point to note is that this is a relatively rare layout of fixed tape guides, introduced late in production as TEAC were progressively improving things, actually the second of this layout I’ve seen in recent weeks.
