Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Marantz 2220B (not the 2220). This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Marantz 2220B P800 power supply board, P400 phono EQ board, P700 amplifier board, PE01 preamp board, and all four tuner boards, plus it includes upgraded replacement main capacitors. This does not include new lights, fuses, or output transistors. The correct replacement output transistors are two MJ21195G (replaces 2SA627) and two MJ21196G (replaces 2SD188), available here. Please do not buy any of the Chinese output transistors listed on eBay–these are counterfeit and may damage your receiver. The 2220B uses a protection relay, located on the amplifier board. There are two different versions of the 2220B–the common one uses a normal MY2 relay, and one (less common) uses a small milky-white LC2 relay. The kit does not include a relay, but I would strongly recommend replacing it. Open up your 2220B, take a look at the amp board, and figure out which relay you have. Then use “add to cart” on the kit as well as either the larger MY2 relay or the small milky-white LC2 relay. When you check out, shipping will combine automatically. The main capacitors are Cornell-Dubilier 6800 uf 80v capacitors, and the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings. The transistors and diodes are the correct Fairchild/Onsemi subs for the original transistors. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Marantz equipment. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb.
