Up for sale here is this brand new 12-pin pushbutton switch. This will work great to replace pretty much all of the old 12-pin pushbutton switches in the 1970s Marantz receivers. It will replace the mono, main speaker, and remote speaker switches in the Marantz 2220B. This is the same dimensions as the old switches and will fit nicely into the board and into the metal frame. Cleaning your old switches is a waste of time if you can just replace them. This is a normal pushbutton switch–you push it once, it goes in and stays in, you push it again and it pops out. To install this, just bend the tabs in the old metal mount, remove the old switch, put in the new switch, bend the tabs to hold it in place, then solder all the wires. Marantz 2220B Power Supply Capacitor Upgrade Set High-Quality Receiver Recap Kit
Up for sale here is this power supply board recap set for a Marantz 2220B. This includes all the parts you need to recap a Marantz 2220B P800 power supply. Please note that this is only for the 2220B, not the 2220. I have kits for the 2220 available here. Vintage Marantz power supplies were run pretty aggressively, and often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes all 6 capacitors, one diode, two double diodes, and two transistors. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are all 105° Panasonic FC caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, the diode is a 1N4004 diode, the double diodes are MUR1620G and MUR1620RG, and the transistors are a KSC2383YTA and a TIP41C, which are the correct subs for the original transistors. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Marantz power supplies. I will include a basic instruction sheet, but recapping a power supply is at least mildly complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron. 2 Replacement Main Filter Capacitors for Marantz 2220B Nichicon 6800 uf 80v 35mm
Up for sale here is this set of 2 new Nichicon LS capacitors. These are 6800 uf 80v capacitors, and are perfect replacements for the main filter capacitors in the Marantz 2220B, Pioneer SX-535, SX-636, and SX-550. These are almost the exact diameter of the old coupling capacitors, so they are drop-in replacements for those. These are extremely high-quality capacitors and are the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage gear. These have substantially higher uf ratings than the old capacitors, which will improve the bass response and the sound in general, with no issues. Dimensions for these capacitors are 41.6mm tall and 35.5mm in diameter at the body. Terminals are about 10mm apart. These are shorter than the old caps, due to improvements in design. A note about installation: Main filter capacitors are usually used to provide the positive and negative rails to the amplifier section, so one of them will appear to be wired backwards (with positive to chassis ground). This is normal. Before you replace your capacitors, take some clear pictures of the wiring so you will know how to connect the new ones. Marantz 2220B Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Caps Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Marantz 2220B (not the 2220). This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Marantz 2220B P800 power supply board, P400 phono EQ board, P700 amplifier board, PE01 preamp board, and all four tuner boards, plus it includes upgraded replacement main capacitors. This does not include new lights, fuses, or output transistors. The correct replacement output transistors are two MJ21195G (replaces 2SA627) and two MJ21196G (replaces 2SD188), available here. Please do not buy any of the Chinese output transistors listed on eBay–these are counterfeit and may damage your receiver. The 2220B uses a protection relay, located on the amplifier board. There are two different versions of the 2220B–the common one uses a normal MY2 relay, and one (less common) uses a small milky-white LC2 relay. The kit does not include a relay, but I would strongly recommend replacing it. Open up your 2220B, take a look at the amp board, and figure out which relay you have. Then use “add to cart” on the kit as well as either the larger MY2 relay or the small milky-white LC2 relay. When you check out, shipping will combine automatically.
