All the meters move. All the buttons and knobs click properly. I hooked up speakers and they all made noise. There is a possibility due to the complexity of this machine that something may or may not need cleaning or a professional touch! Very Nice Vintage Pioneer SX-780 AM/FM Stereo Receiver – Tested
This was a one owner find that has seen little use. It’s in very nice condition. A basic service and testing was done including cleaning all pots and switches with contact cleaner. Both L/R channel audio is strong and sounds great through my vintage JBL L65 monitors. The only obvious flaw is a small chip in the lower right cover cheek veneer. The AM/FM tuner picks up stations on both AM and FM bands even without an external antenna. No other testing has been done. Sold as is. See photos for cosmetic detail. A note on shipping, I’m well versed in packing large, heavy chassis electronics and can assure you this will be well protected prior to shipping. Sorry, no warranty or returns.
