    Up for sale here is this complete recap kit for the Pioneer PL-516 turntable. This kit includes all the capacitors you need to recap the two circuit boards in the PL-516. The old capacitors start getting leaky and the transistors go bad, resulting in speed issues. This will take care of most of the circuit-board-related issues you will see with these turntables. Leaky capacitors can damage the IC chips in your turntable, so even if your turntable is working, you should still recap it. This kit includes replacements for all electrolytic capacitors on the boards. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I work on vintage stereo gear. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Panasonic FC, and Wima film caps. I will include instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron. Opening up your turntable and getting access to the boards can be tricky, and you may need to use the service manual (I will provide a free download link) to help get your turntable open.
