I created side rails for my personal RT-707 reel to reel tape deck, then decided to make them available for sale. The sales have been surprising! I guess I’m not the only one who doesn’t like looking at rack mount notches or wants to cover up unsightly ‘rack rash’. Soon after I listed the RT-707 rails I started receiving requests for RT-909 side rails. Since I don’t have a RT-909 I really didn’t know how long to make them but a fellow eBay seller (Jim at ReelHiFi) was kind enough to take the time and send me photos showing the measurements. I created a two piece solution (building on the RT-707 rails) with a separate extension and sent them to Jim for fitting. After a slight adjustment to the length and fitment based on his feedback, I now have a set of RT-909 side rails available for sale! Thanks to Jim at ReelHiFi for all the assistance! MADE IN THE USA These are design and manufactured in Largo, Florida using 3D printing technology and PLA (Polylactic Acid) material which has outstanding material properties and is derived from renewable resources. COMPATIBILITY These will fit Pioneer RT-909 and RT-901 reel to reel tape decks. WHATS INCLUDED One complete set consisting of: 2 Right (Bottom and Top) rails 2 Left (Bottom and Top) rails Of course the RT-909 in the photos is not included. INSTALLATION All four pieces are labeled on the back. 1. Install the long rails labeled LEFT 707 909 Bottom and RIGHT 707 909 Bottom on the left and right sides of the deck.2. Install the short rails labeled LEFT 909 Top and RIGHT 909 Top on the left and right sides of the deck butting their bottom against the top of the long rails.3. DESCRIPTION I needed a replacement foot for my new RT-909 but after modeling the original, I wasn’t very impressed. The original feet were so, I don’t know, wimpy looking. Here sits this beautiful machine in all its brushed aluminum glory on these wimpy skinny feet. So I made my own version, double the width and extending beyond the case for a sturdier look. By the way these were designed to go with the side rails available in a separate listing. See the last photo for them installed together.
