Up for sale here is this power supply/amplifier board rebuild set for a Sony STR-7065. This is for the power amplifier/power supply board, the vertical one on the left with all the wires attached to it. This is all the parts you need to rebuild this board completely. Often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes the following: 13 capacitors (Nichicon PW)19 transistors (Fairchild/Onsemi)13 diodes (2 zener to replace the 1T243s)2 double diodes (to replace the VD-1221 varistors)1 new heat-sink (for the TIP41C) 1 small piece of plastic sleeve (for the TIP41C) These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are Nichicon PW caps at the correct uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings and the transistors are the correct Fairchild/OnSemi subs for the original transistors. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild vintage gear. I will include a surprisingly well-written 4-page instruction sheet, but this is a fairly complicated job, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron. You will also need heat-sink compound for the heat-sinked transistor. This kit may not fix your STR-7065 if it has other issues, but it will definitely help it run better, and should fix almost any issues with this board. If your receiver is blowing fuses, you will probably need new output transistors (available here) and probably new 2.5A 250v fuses as well, and might need some resistors too (not included, but easy to find online).
