Welcome to The Speaker Port! Up for a sale is a set of replacement speaker terminal plates for the Marantz 2325 vintage stereo receiver. This will allow you to replace the original spring speaker terminals with more modern banana plug terminals for both the A and B outputs. The terminals used are skinnier than normal uniformly spaced terminals due to the limited space of the speaker terminal plate opening. It does allow for the use of individually terminated male banana plug tips for your speaker wires. It also allows for bare wire attachment (14g max). This conversion kit improves the look and wiring options for your 2325. Once installed, it really looks spectacular and completely stock. The panel is constructed using 3D Printing technology. It is rigid and is able to withstand the abuse that the terminals can experience. You can re-purpose your original mounting hardware and can either solder the internal speaker wires directly to the back of the terminals (recommended) or use ring tip terminals (recommended). NOTE: Installation of this part does require certain skills and competency using tools and a soldering iron. If you are not comfortable doing this work yourself, take it to a electronics shop and they should be able to do the work for you. We have developed this item on an actual 2325 and guarantee that it will work. The Marantz 2325 is a vintage piece of equipment and as a result, you accept full responsibility/liability for the work required to install these parts in your system. Installation Instructions You will need some basic tools/materials, such as a Philips screw driver, wire cutters/strippers, soldering iron/solder. Remove the top cover of the receiver. Loosen the back panel of the unit so that you can get more room to work behind the speaker terminals and make removing/installing the old/new terminals easier. Remove the screws/nuts holding on the existing speaker terminals. Put these aside as you will re-use them to install the new plate. Pull back the original terminals and install the new terminal plates. Once it is installed, snip off one wire at a time from the original terminals and solder them to the back screw posts of the new one. Keep the orientation exactly as it was with the originals. Note: you can chose to put ring terminals on the ends of the internal wiring and attach them to the plate using the extra nut provided. For best connectivity, we recommend soldering the wires in. Once everything is in place, re-assemble the unit and you are good to go! WARNING: DO NOT overheat the back end terminals. Nothing more than a normal 40W soldering iron should be used and even so, make sure you are proficient in the right procedure for soldering wires onto terminals such as these. If the screw terminals gets too hot, it could melt the plate of the outside terminal spacers and/or warp the screw down wire nuts. Kenwood KA-7100 Speaker Terminal Conversion (Banana Plugs)
Welcome to The Speaker Port! Up for a sale is a replacement speaker terminal plate for the Kenwood KA-7100 vintage stereo integrated amplifier. This will allow you to replace the original speaker terminals with more modern banana plug terminals for both the A and B outputs. these new terminals allow for the use of individually terminated male banana plug tips or uniform spaced bracketed plugs for your speaker wires. It also allows for bare wire attachment (10-12 gauge max). This conversion plate improves the look and wiring options for your 7100. Once installed, it really looks spectacular and completely stock. You can re-purpose your original mounting hardware and can either solder the internal speaker wires directly to the back of the terminals or use ring tip terminals (highly recommended, but not included.) NOTE: Installation of this part does require certain skills and competency using tools and a soldering iron. If you are not comfortable doing this work yourself, take it to a electronics shop and they should be able to do the work for you. Installation Notes You will need some basic tools/materials, such as a Philips screw driver, wire cutters/strippers, soldering iron/solder. These items are NOT included. There is plenty of slack in the existing internal speaker wires to re-attach to the new plate, but still snip off the wires as close to the plate terminal as possible to make sure you don’t cut yourself short. Keep the orientation exactly as it was with the originals. (Take a picture of your existing wires for reference.) We highly recommending soldering on ring terminals to the ends of the wires and then using additional supplied hardware, attach them to the back of the new speaker terminal block. Note: Ring tip terminals are not included. If you choose to solder the wires directly to the end of the new terminal then please note the following warning. DO NOT overheat the back end terminals. Nothing more than a normal 40W soldering iron should be used and even so, make sure you are proficient in the right procedure for soldering wires onto terminals such as these. If the screw terminals gets too hot, it could melt the plate and/or bushings of the terminals causing the banana plugs to come loose.Disclaimer: The KA-7100, like any other vintage audio product, contains aged components and wiring. As a result, you need to take care while working on one. It is not uncommon for parts or wires to crack, snap, or break off while trying to manipulate them after 40+ years of age. The Speaker Port is not responsible for any damage or harm of any kind that may occur to your unit, this speaker terminal conversion kit, you or anyone/anything else while trying to install this part. ____________________________________________________________________________________ General Information Who are we? Founded in 2016, The Speaker Port is a small, independently owned/operated business based in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. I started out in repairing/restoring vintage audio speakers and stereo systems but within the first year, took on both home and professional grade systems (PA systems, guitar amps, etc). I work on all components types (receivers, turntables, tape decks, power amps, etc.), makes and models. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering but spent the better part of my 22 year professional career in Information Technology. Through it all was a deep love for music and music reproduction. Recently, I have established relationships with a number of music stores and studios servicing their own as well as 3rd party customer equipment. I now also offer my own line based on reproducing hard to find, vintage parts using 3D CAD design and printing technology. As we continue to growth, I look forward to being able to provide top shelf Customer services and well as products to go with it. Pricing If you have ever sold anything on eBay, you know that for everything you sell, eBay takes a very steep cut from you sale. EBay also takes money from the cost of shipping too. Annual costs associated with eBay’s make it even worse. On top of that, add on the percentage PayPal wants and as a result…you just lost 10-15% of you overall sale price. In order to sell products, you need to price competitively and fairly. In addition, we have families to feed so we cannot afford to lose money or break even. Please consider this when evaluating the price we set. Shipping All paid for items typically ship within 1 business day, however, we have a 3 day handling time in the event that an unforeseen issue comes up that prevents us from being able to ship immediately (such as weather related issues.) Any item we charge shipping costs for are fairly priced based. They take into consideration the materials necessary to secure/protect your item in transit. We use new boxes and packing when possible. The total cost of shipping must take into account our costs for these materials, the actual shipping cost charged by USPS or FedEx as well as the percentage eBay takes from us for shipping. We will never charge ridiculous, overprices shipping charges for any reason. As noted above, any listing we have that comes with ‘Free Shipping’ does not mean there is no cost associated with shipping the product. Most, if not all of our “Free Shipping” items are shipped USPS First Class (where we can predict the cost to any location domestically). On average, our cost to ship such items range from $3-$4. Please keep this in mind when evaluating the cost of our product to others. Unless otherwise specified in the listing, we do not insure any item in transit (beyond whatever the shipping provides as default…if any) nor do we add addition features such as signature requirement. If you want an item shipping with such additional features, it is your responsibility to ask for it and there will be additional costs associated with them. If an item offered to ship internationally, then it will be enabled in the listing via the eBay Global Shipping Program. Note: We do not have any control on what eBay GS charges for international shipping so please keep that in mind. eBay GS is a higher cost means of shipping but due to buyer fraud problems, we have had little choice but to go this route to eliminate claims of users not receiving items. Warranty and/or product guarantee Unless specifically statement in the list, there is no warranty or guarantee of any kid associated with the item you are buying. We have no way of knowing how much use it had before coming into our possession. Please consider this before buying. Any used/refurbished/restored item we sell is tested and verified to be in working condition before we list/sell the item. Any issues or problems will be clearly stated in the listing. This includes physical, electrical or operational condition. Regarding physical condition, we provide detailed pictures in our listing so please pay attention to them. We will not be describing every scratch/scuff/ding that may exist. Note: any statements made about things like sound or picture quality or value are completely the opinion of The Speaker Port and in no way represent a guarantee or statement of fact. For any NEW, 3rd party products that are still sealed in their original OEM packaging are assumed to be in perfect working condition. We will not open these packages to test them or evaluate their contents for any reason. The Speaker Port assumes no responsibility for the operational condition of such items and are offered “as-is”. Fraud Prevention Unfortunately, there are folks out there that try to commit fraud/steal products from us. As a result, The Speaker Port had to make some tough choices about how we do business on eBay. Once such measure is using the eBay Global Shipping service for international purchases. This eliminates buyer claims that they never received an item. They get away with this because of the lack of end-to-end tracking with cheaper shipping services. The Speaker Port has also had to resort to photo documenting and UV tagging (marking) products in various ways to prevent ‘bait and switch’ situations or from buyers who ‘harvest’ internal parts for their own use and claiming that the item does not work. We have zero tolerance for this. Misc Terms and Conditions Unless otherwise specified above, the following terms and conditions apply. If you have a question about one of our items that is not answered above or below, please reach out to us. Your bid means that you have read, understood and agree to all the items listed below. Many things can happen during the preparation of an item for shipment. In these extremely rare circumstance (where we have no spares to replace it with), we will offer you a comparable replacement or refund you your purchase (at your choice). We reserve the right to cancel any bids from users with zero (or negative feedback rating) at our discretion. Unless otherwise stated in the listing, all sales are final. If you have a question about the listing, we welcome you to send us a message about it, but please do so before bidding and/or winning an item. We have a 100% positive feedback rating for a reason. We do business in an honorable and respectable manner. It serves us no purpose to cheat or mislead any Customer. We are committed to your satisfaction…if you have ANY issue with something we have sold, please contact us directly first in order to resolve the matter. Your bid/purchase of this item means that you have read, understood and agree to all the terms and conditions detailed in this listing.

Vintage The Fisher 700-T FM-MPX Stereo Receiver – Tested Good Sound – AS-IS
The Fisher 700-T receiver only. I am not sure whether this is a defect, a weak/insufficient stereo FM signal issue, an antenna-related issue, or simply my lack of familiarity with this receiver. FM reception produced very good sound during testing.

Pioneer SX-980 Speaker Terminal Conversion kit (to Banana Plugs)
Welcome to The Speaker Port! Up for a sale is a set of replacement speaker terminal plates for the Pioneer SX-980 vintage stereo receiver. This will allow you to replace the original speaker terminals with more modern banana plug terminals for both the A and B outputs. This conversion kit improves the look and wiring options for your 980. Once installed, it really looks spectacular and completely stock. You can re-purpose your original mounting hardware. Ring terminals are recommended to attach the original internal wires onto this new terminal plate. (Ring terminals not included). You can solder the internal speaker wires directly to the back of the terminals but care must be taken not to overheat them. One other thing to mention, in one of the pictures, it shows a black plastic spacer in the rear of the terminal; I no longer install these as they are really not needed for anything. If you want me to included them, let me know and I will put them bag with the hardware…otherwise, I normally discard them. NOTE: Installation of this part does require certain skills and competency using tools and a soldering iron. If you are not comfortable doing this work yourself, take it to a electronics shop and they should be able to do the work for you. We have developed this item on an actual SX-980 so fitment is guaranteed. The SX-980 is a vintage piece of equipment and as a result, you accept full responsibility/liability for the work required to install these parts in your system. Installation Instructions You will need some basic tools/materials, such as a Philips screw driver, wire cutters/strippers, soldering iron/solder and the above mentioned ring terminals. Remove the bottom cover of the receiver. you may also need to remove some of the rear panel screws in the area where the speaker terminals are mounted to allow you to pull back the rear panel which will make removing the old and installing the new terminals much easier. Remove the screws/nuts holding on the existing speaker terminals. Put these aside as you will re-use them to install the new plate. Important note….the original terminals along with the internal speaker wires are all mounted on a circuit board. These new terminals will NOT attach to that board. As a result, you will need to de-solder or snip off the internal speaker wires from that circuit board and then you will direct wire them to the new terminals. The wire mapping is as follows:Terminal A (top set)Left channel positive – Red wireRight channel positive – Blue wireTerminal B (bottom set)Left channel positive – Orange wireRight channel positive – Purple wireThere are two black wires for the ground (black negative terminals). We recommend that you attach them to the terminal A block and then run jumpers down to the terminal B block. It does not matter which one goes to which channel. They both tie to chassis ground. (See wire diagram in the photos section for more details on this.)Pull out the original terminals and snip off the original wires to the terminal circuit board. We highly recommend attaching ring terminals to the ends of these wires to make attaching to the new speaker terminals much easier. Once you have them attached to the new terminal, install them into the unit. Start with terminal block A and then B. Remember, you will be jumpering together the negative terminals for both A and B so plan your install accordingly. When securing the ring terminals with the supplied hardware, DO NOT overtighten the nuts and use the lock washers. WARNING: If you choose to solder the wires directly to the back of the new terminal plates, DO NOT overheat the back end terminals. Nothing more than a normal 40W soldering iron should be used and even so, make sure you are proficient in the right procedure for soldering wires onto terminals such as these. If the screw terminals gets too hot, it could melt the plate of the outside terminal spacers and/or warp the screw down wire nuts causing them to become loose. You can correct this by tightening up the nut of the back of the terminal, but it becomes much harder to do after you have attached wiring to them. General Terms and Conditions Unless otherwise specified above, the following terms and conditions apply. If you have a question about one of our items that is not answered above or below, please reach out to us. Your bid means that you have read, understood and agree to all the items listed below. The only forms of payment we accept are those accepted by EBay. Once an item has been paid for, we typically ship within one to two business days. However, due to things like holidays, weather, or other acts of God outside of our control, we set a handling time of 5 business days to account for any un-forseen delays in shipping an item out to you. All items normally ship via USPS or FedEx, however, we reserve the right to use whatever carrier is appropriate. All sales are final. Unless otherwise noted in the listing, there are no returns accepted for any reason.
