Electronic crossover selector. Each speaker has an 8″ woofer, 3″ mid and a 1″ tweeter. Very clean and crisp sound. Good tight bass despite the foam issue. Obviously not as deep and punchy as a 12″ or 15″ woofer, but still respectable.
