This board is a 150mm x 70mm turret board built on 2.0mm thick heavy duty fibreboard sheet in black. It is fitted with sturdy turret lugs standing 8.4mm above the board and is supplied unassembled but with all the parts shown ready for you to solder together. The version of the board shown is wired for the 5F1 version of the FENDER Champ and the extra 22uF cathode capacitor will be supplied with this kit. Custom Turret Board for Fender Champ 5C1 Tweed amp DIY/Kit guitar amplifier
Before them all came the original FENDER 5C1 Champ, with just three classic look Octal valves including the 5Y3 rectifier. With a 6SJ7 Pentode preamp valve and a 6V6 output valve, this 5W amp is the perfect retro starter amp for both constructors and guitarists…… except… the original amp didn’t have a circuit board and was strung together point to point with many components soldered direct to the metal chassis… which needs a seriously big soldering iron or a solder gun and isn’t great for component changes and mods!
