Also has an on/off switch on top. I’m unable to test this since I no longer have any Dictaphone units to test it on (worked for them from 1981 to 2005). I know it did work previously when it was used for bench testing.

The label has fallen off the inside of the unit and the belt is probably stretched out. There is no matt. The needle is installed, but we cannot test it. Suspension: Floating sprung subchassis for good isolation from vibration.
