  • WESTERN ELECTRIC 317 LOGO DECAL 1911-1915

    The item for sale is a reproduction of the logo decal found on many Western Electric (WE) 317 Plain Front (PF) magneto wall phones produced from 1911 thru 1915. The original WE logo print font was changed with the introduction of the 317 Plain Fronts in 1911, and again slightly in 1913. Color and dimensions (2-1/4″x5/8″) are also consistent with the original. This item offers an acceptable replacement for a missing or deteriorated decal in the restoration of WE PFs, manufactured after 1911, and having the long transmitter arm thru 1915. The decals are printed on WHITE backed waterslide decal paper, and must be submerged in hot (not boiling) water for a minute depending on water temp. The original mounting location on the PF models was centered 11/16″ below the lower edge of the ringer gongs.

  • WESTERN ELECTRIC 317 LOGO DECAL POST 1916

    The item for sale is a reproduction of the logo decal found on many Western Electric (WE) 317 Plain Front (PF) Compact magneto wall phones produced from 1916 into the late ’30s. The original WE logo print font was changed to the Hawthorn print font with the introduction of the 317 Plain Fronts in 1911, and again slightly in 1913. Color and dimensions (2-1/4″x5/8″) are also consistent with the original. This item offers an acceptable replacement for a missing or deteriorated decal in the restoration of WE PFs, manufactured after 1915, and having the short transmitter mounting bracket. The decals are printed on WHITE backed waterslide decal paper, and must be submerged in hot (not boiling) water for a minute depending on water temp. The original mounting location on the short transmitter bracket version 317C was centered 3/4″ below the ringer gongs.
