This Stromberg-Carlson woofer is in clean, good condition. The sturdy, textured paper cone and large voice coil dustcap are flawless besides the obvious puncture repair. I believe the repair occurred during speaker or stereo console assembly by a worker jabbing the cone on a fixed mounting screw when hurriedly installing the woofer, and then covering the hole with shellac and a cloth patch.
