These are the correct DUAL VOICE COIL recone kits for the DCW15 woofer used in the DC15 and 1515 Cerwin Vega speakers. The “DC” in the name actually referenced the fact that the woofers were dual voice coil, and the crossovers actually split the signal and ran different frequencies to each coil. Up till now, all the kits listed for these woofers all used the DLP (dual lead parallel coils, which are different. DLP coils and only have one set of leads. These have dual sets of leads to recone and re-hook up properly. These have the older style red/red foams but are in perfect shape. I came across a large number of old stock recone kits for Cerwin Vega. Strokers, 18″ woofers, and misc. Most of these are pre-2010. Kits have changed over the years, and not always for the better. Recone kit for the Cerwin Vega ATW-15. These were developed specifically, exactly, for this woofer. Lightweight ribbed cone like the original. Red over gray foam like original. All new high precision voice coils, on ALUMINUM formers like the originals, and DLP wound like the originals. (DLP is dual lead parallel) Several years, and more recones than I can count went into developing these to provide kits that not only take the pounding that I know you’re going to give them, but also match the t/s parameters of the originals.
