Pioneer SX-950 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Caps Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Pioneer SX-950. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Pioneer SX-950, and includes upgraded replacement main capacitors. This does not include new lights, fuses, or any resistors (except for the bleeder resistors for the main caps). This also does not include the driver or output transistors. Correct replacement outputs are MJ21195G/MJ21196G, available here. Please don’t buy any of the fake Chinese transistors on eBay–those are counterfeit and will blow up. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the two main filter capacitors, which are upgraded to 22000 uf 80v Cornell-Dubilier caps. The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly. The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards except the tuner board. Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you’re doing a rebuild. The kit for the power supply includes replacement diodes and zener diodes, which are important to replace, and the protection board kit includes a new Omron relay with standoffs. You will also receive detailed instructions to help this go more easily. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Panasonic FC, Wima film, and Cornell-Dubilier for the main filters. Transistors are Fairchild/Onsemi. Trimmers (for the amp board) are Bourns. I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but rebuilding a receiver is fairly complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester. I have rebuilt a lot of SX-950s in the past few years–they’re really nice receivers, and aren’t too bad to work on. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $12, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask. I have other kits and lots of vintage electronics listed–feel free to take a look!

Pioneer SX-838 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Caps Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Pioneer SX-838. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Pioneer SX-838 power supply board, protection board, amplifier board, phono EQ board, mic board, tuner board, and preamp board, plus it includes upgraded replacement main capacitors and a new relay. This does not include lights, fuses, or output transistors. The correct replacement output transistors are two MJ21195G (replaces 2SA679) and two MJ21196G (replaces 2SC1079), available here. Please do not buy any of the Chinese output transistors listed on eBay–these are counterfeit and will damage your receiver. This kit includes the following: Power Supply Board: 8 capacitors6 diodes9 transistors1 resistor Protection Board: 6 capacitors7 transistors1 diode (for the diode mod) Amplifier Board: 10 capacitors6 transistors4 trimmers Phono EQ Board: 8 capacitors6 transistors Preamp/Tone Board:18 capacitors4 transistors Mic board: 4 capacitors2 transistors Tuner board:18 capacitors2 transistors 3 new main capacitors (same diameter as the old caps so they will fit the clamps, upgraded uf/voltage rating)2 resistors (for main caps)1 other capacitor (for light board)Relay w/standoffs Instructions The kit for each board is bagged individually to make things easier. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The main capacitors are Cornell-Dubilier 12000 uf 80v capacitors and one 1500 uf 100v Epcos cap, the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon VY, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, the transistors and diodes are the correct Fairchild/Onsemi subs for the original transistors, the relay is a new Omron relay, and the trimmers are new Bourns trimmers. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $12, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches, feet, pushbuttons, top case screws, bottom screws, faceplate screws, white LED fuse lamps, blue LED fuse lamps, 6.3v bi-pin bulbs, 8v bi-pin bulbs, 12v bi-pin bulbs, wired 8v 60ma bulbs, new power cords, new main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230, wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements, new 630v yellow film capacitors at 13 different values, a large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair, and more. Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Pioneer SX-737. This is all the parts you need to completely rebuild a Pioneer SX-737. It includes parts for the power supply board, protection board, amplifier board, preamp board, mic board, tuner board, and phono EQ board, and includes a new relay with standoffs and upgraded replacement main capacitors. This does not have new lights, fuses, or output transistors. This includes the following:11 capacitors, 9 diodes, and 4 transistors for the power supply board6 capacitors, 7 transistors, and 9 diodes for the protection board (one diode for the diode mod)16 capacitors and 6 transistors for the preamp board (one cap for the other preamp board)8 capacitors and 6 transistors for the phono EQ board10 capacitors,10 transistors, and 4 trimmers for the amplifier board (includes replacements for drivers)4 capacitors and 2 transistors for the mic board15 capacitors and 2 transistors for the tuner board (only the 2SA725 transistors are replaced)1 new Omron relay (top flange instead of old bottom flange design, includes standoffs for mounting plus instructions on how to mount new relay inside old relay cover)2 new main caps (10000 uf 80v, the same diameter as the old caps)Instruction sheet These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The main caps are Nippon Chemi-Con 10000 uf 80v caps, the other capacitors are Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, the diodes are all the correct replacements, the relay is a new Omron relay, and the transistors are new Fairchild/OnSemi KSC1845, KSA992, KSC2383, KSC2073, KSC2690, and KSA1220 transistors, the correct subs for the original transistors. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. I just finished an SX-737 rebuild, which is why I put this kit together. This kit is the exact same stuff I use. The Wima film caps cost more than electrolytics, but they sound better and are definitely worth it. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester, as well as a little heat-sink compound. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $10, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask. I have other kits and lots of vintage electronics listed–feel free to take a look!
