Sansui 2000A Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui 2000A receiver. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Sansui 2000A, and includes the correct size replacement main filter capacitors. This does not include new lights or fuses. This also does not include the driver or output transistors. Correct replacement outputs are four MJ21196G, available here. Please don’t buy any of the Chinese transistors on eBay–those are counterfeit and can blow up. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the four large chassis-mount capacitors, which are replaced with three new Epcos 3300 uf 100v caps and one Epcos 1200 uf 100v cap. The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly. The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards except the tuner board. Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you’re doing a rebuild. Replacements for the driver board trimmers and a number of diodes are also included. This kit also includes two capacitors and two resistors to apply some of the “Conrad mods” to the driver board. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic FC, Wima film, 4 Supertech axial caps, 2 Kemet safety disc caps, and 4 Epcos snap-in caps. Transistors and diodes are Fairchild/Onsemi. This kit includes a total of 102 parts. The parts for each board are individually bagged for ease of installation, and the instructions will tell you how the transistors and diodes go in, but there are a LOT of parts to replace here, so if you do not have a lot of experience with vintage gear I would not recommend starting with this one. You should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with 40W, 60W, or 100W incandescent bulb. Pioneer SX-850 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Caps Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Pioneer SX-850. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Pioneer SX-850, and includes upgraded replacement main capacitors. This does not include new lights, fuses, or any resistors (except for the bleeder resistors for the main caps). This also does not include the driver or output transistors. Correct replacement outputs are MJ21195G/MJ21196G, available here. Please don’t buy any of the fake Chinese transistors on eBay–those are counterfeit and will blow up. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the two main filter capacitors, which are upgraded to 18000 uf 100v Cornell-Dubilier caps. The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly. The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards except the tuner board. Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you’re doing a rebuild. The kit for the power supply includes replacement diodes and zener diodes, which are important to replace, and the protection board kit includes a new Omron relay with standoffs. You will also receive detailed instructions to help this go more easily. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. These are extremely high-quality, and they are what I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Panasonic FC, Wima film, and Cornell-Dubilier for the main filters. Transistors are Fairchild/Onsemi. Trimmers (for the amp board) are Bourns. I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but rebuilding a receiver is fairly complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester. Pioneer SX-727 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Caps Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Pioneer SX-727. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Pioneer SX-727 power supply board, protection board, amplifier board, phono EQ board, preamp board, and tuner board, plus it includes upgraded replacement main capacitors and a new relay. Nakamichi ZX-5 Cassette Deck Ultimate Restoration Kit – Wima, OnSemi, Nichicon
While our kit replaces all electrolytic and tantalum capacitors in this Nakamichi deck, some Nakamichi’s have “orange cap disease” that this kit does not address. Nakamichi used a bad batch of polypropylene orange caps at one point. While a problem in the decks that used them, it is far from universal. If your deck has them, you may need to replace those as well. Again, this is NOT a problem with every Nakamichi deck or even every deck of a particular model. This kit restores and upgrades this deck. Wima Film Caps are used to replace all caps of 4.7uf or smaller. All other electrolytics are replaced with high quality Nichicon UKW or Panasonic FC caps. Superior to other kit suppliers (Wima film caps sound better, transistors replacing known problematic one’s) our kit will bring out the best in your deck! Pictures show the Mother board and power supply board replacement parts, parts for all other boards are included as well. Parts are bagged by board The kit replaces electrolytic and tant caps with high quality new ones sourced via reputable USA distributors like Digikey and Mouser. Most caps are Nichicon high quality UKL and UPW capacitors, we also sometimes use Panasonic FC caps for filtering in spots. All new caps will be the same capacitance as the originals with voltage ratings at least as high as the originals and oftentimes higher. Any capacitor of 4.7uf or lower is replaced with a high quality Wima film caps for better sound and reliability. Transistors are also sourced the same way and almost all are highly reliable on-semi devices. Not all (not even most) transistors get replaced, just those that time and collective knowledge have shown to be either noisy, unreliable or at the edge of their operating ability. The individual doing the work should be competent with a soldering gun, multimeter, reading a schematic etc. I am not a tech, but I have successfully done hundreds of restorations over the last 20 years. Many of the parts lists for these kits were compiled when we restored units, others are sourced from the service manuals (digital download included in purchase if you don’t know how to source it). We have compiled parts lists for well over 200 units for units from Marantz, Technics, Pioneer, Sansui, Harman Kardon, etc. We do not sell kits for tube gear currently. If the service manual is wrong (it does happen) we will ship you out the correct parts free of charge. The same is true if we make a mistake in compiling the kit ( I hope not but just in case). We want this process to go smoothly for you. Included is a two page instruction/guidance sheet with some helpful hints. It is not a step by step guide.
