Very Nice Vintage Pioneer SX-780 AM/FM Stereo Receiver – Tested
This was a one owner find that has seen little use. It’s in very nice condition. A basic service and testing was done including cleaning all pots and switches with contact cleaner. Both L/R channel audio is strong and sounds great through my vintage JBL L65 monitors. The only obvious flaw is a small chip in the lower right cover cheek veneer. The AM/FM tuner picks up stations on both AM and FM bands even without an external antenna. No other testing has been done. Sold as is. See photos for cosmetic detail. A note on shipping, I’m well versed in packing large, heavy chassis electronics and can assure you this will be well protected prior to shipping. Sorry, no warranty or returns. You will receive: Three (3) warm white incandescent wedge lamps (for the tuning dial light diffuser) These are top-quality bulbs, and are the exact same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer gear. These are top-of-the-line lights–I love using them! The incandescent bulbs will match the original warm white glow of the dial–LEDs tend to be a bit brighter and sharper white.
