It is a pity to see how many units are suffering from always failing incandescent bulbs! How much money is wasted for services to replace those incandescent bulbs over and over again! After many years of back and forth I decided to develop a perfect/exact LED replacement that has greener bulbs for the lettering/paneling. The green color of the lettering, as time and practice showed, fades away and becomes less green. Due to this I decided to develop this green colored LED with foggy lens and proper voltage bulbs. I got in touch with a manufacturer of LED bulbs and worked with them to develop this LED bulbs. I am glad to announce that I succeeded. I am very happy with the result and am sure you will be too! This auction includes everything you need to update/upgrade your McIntosh MA6100 and give it a facelift. These are frosted lens bulbs. The frosted lens allows much wider and even light distribution compared to a clear lens. There is no halo effect with the frosted lens. This is the service manual for the MA6100 LATER VERSION with the 4/8-Ohm switch on the back. I worked as the Sales Training Manager for McIntosh for 25 years, so I have lots of Mac “stuff”. This manual can be a bit harder to find at a reasonable price, since most manuals are for the earlier version.

4 New 12000 uf 63v Chemi-Con Capacitors McIntosh MC2120 MC2125 EXACT FIT
Up for sale here is this set of 4 brand new Chemi-Con 12000 uf 63v capacitors. These are drop-in replacements for the McIntosh MC2120, MC2125, and more. The terminals are the same distance apart, so they bolt in perfectly! These are the same capacitors I use when I am rebuilding vintage McIntosh gear. These measure 51mm in diameter and 49mm tall, and use screw terminals, which are 22mm apart, center-to-center. The screws are included, though you may need to reuse the old screws. These are authentic Made in USA capacitors, manufactured in 2023. These are the same diameter as the old caps, but are a bit shorter in height. They will fit through the holes perfectly and are a perfect fit for the MC2125, and may work for other equipment as well. Please see my pictures for details. A note about installation: Main filter capacitors are usually used to provide the positive and negative rails to the amplifier section, so one of them will appear to be wired backwards (with positive to chassis ground). This is normal. Before you replace your capacitors, take some clear pictures of the wiring so you will know how to connect the new ones. If your equipment starts blowing fuses after replacing the main filter capacitors, you probably wired one backwards. US shipping and handling is $8, and international is $28.
