This is an original vintage wood cabinet from a Mark One preamplifier. It’s 50+ years old and does show some wear. I give it a 7.5 out of 10 for its age. Look at the pictures carefully before purchase. I can include plastic feet and screws (not pictured) with it, however they ARE NOT original. I’d be happy to answer any questions. Returns not accepted. No PO Boxes please. Local Pickup ENCOURAGED. The measurements of the front opening: Faceplate of equipment can’t exceed 17” x 5.75”. The inner wood trim shaves off 0.5 inches in both directions or 16.5” x 5.25”. The cabinet provides 11.75” of depth when loaded with gear. The outside dimensions of the cabinet itself is: 18.5” x 13” x 7.25”.

Any device that is so old should be thoroughly serviced, because the manufacturers did not assume that it would work for such a long time. Some of the components have a specific service life. Among them are electrolytic capacitors, where one of the electrodes is a liquid electrolyte. Over the time and due to the storage conditions, the device dires up, so the capacitors change their parameters, what causes sound malfunctions. In extreme cases, the old capacitors can lead to failure and extensive damage. A good idea is to replace all the electrolytic capacitors with new ones. The capacitor set I am selling contains all the necessary electrolytic camapitors for the SAE 2400L. I chose them in terms of capacity and rated voltage. All set includes good quality new electrolytic capacitors from brands such as: Nichicon, ELNA, Rubycon, of various series. They’re all manufactured with audio equipment in mind.
