  • New Schadow SDU3P Power Switch – NAD Realistic Marantz Concept 16.5 Sanyo

    Up for sale here is this new Schadow power switch. This is an extra-fancy switch and is the correct replacement for a number of switches on some vintage NAD, Realistic, Marantz, Concept, Sanyo, Luxman, and other receivers from the 1970s and 1980s. If your old switch looks fairly similar to this, this is probably the correct power switch for you. You will most likely need to install a snubber capacitor for this in order to protect it. I have those available here, if you don’t already have one. Installing this is simple–just wire it up exactly like the old one, using the new snubber capacitor to replace the old one. If you don’t see a snubber capacitor attached to your power switch, just wire it across the AC terminals. US shipping and handling is $5, and international is $18, no matter what quantity you buy. The 502 normally uses a pair of small bulbs, but you can wire one of these bulbs to one terminal from where each old bulb went to and it will light up nicely.   • Teac AN-300 noise reduction restoration service kit repair rebuild capacitor

    The scarcity of good, honest techs who can do good and reasonably priced restoration/rebuild of audio equipment inspired me to create this restoration kit. In today’s day and age, it is difficult to find a knowledgeable technician who can service your audio gear properly. I have seen many poor quality restorations of equipment that cost way too much for their owners. In 99% of the cases, only a few parts were replaced, instead of a full and proper restoration job.A proper restoration must replace all electrolytic capacitors on all boards.
