Recone kit for the Cerwin Vega LE15-D subwoofer. These were developed specifically, exactly, for this woofer. Ribbed cone like the original and pleated accordion surrounds. Several years, and more recones than I can count went into developing these to provide kits that not only take the pounding that I know you’re going to give them, but also match the t/s parameters of the originals. These kits are different from the other kits available in several ways. All the other kits I have seen, use the 5H2040 cones. Those cones were originally developed for the eh series woofers, which were very different. They used a smaller spider which sat down inside the typically used landing, so those 5h2040 cones at 3.825 deep, are too deep to sit properly when using the correct spider. Also, since those EH series woofers were used as a midbass in sound reinforcement tops, those cones are extremely thin and light. About 26 grams, which is half of the original LE cone weight. Plus the surround ribbing has much shallower ribs, limiting excursion. These new Brew City kits solve all those issues. A close look at the surround, and comparing these to the originals, and the other kits out there, will tell the story. Plus these are much stiffer, and weigh in at 52g. The only drawback to these, is that the ribbing doesn’t go down the cone quite as far, which could not be avoided. Most spec sheets specify the 4.5″ dustcap which is included, but if you wanted the 3.75″ dustcap, just let me know. These kits include the DUAL VOICE COIL coils specified for these. Recone kit for the Cerwin Vega 121-4 L121-4 and W121-4 woofer. Red over gray foam like original. Kits include everything in the picture, all the glue and epoxy, and pack of 4 shims for tight accurate shimming. NOTE: If you have the W121-4 woofer (280se), that woofer takes a different voice coil and dustcap, so if you need that recone kit, you can buy these, but message me when you do, and I will include the correct voice coil and dustcap for you. Also, these kits take the most commonly used 4 ohm coils that were used in those woofers. But some 121-4 woofers were made as 8 ohms with no difference in the part number. If you need 8 ohm recone kits, contact me first, but I currently do have the 8 ohm coils in stock. Recone kit for the Cerwin Vega re30 REW12 woofer. Red over gray foam like original. All new high precision voice coils, on ALUMINUM formers like the originals. Cerwin used aluminum formers for a reason. They are stronger and dissipate heat better than kapton, which is what everyone else uses in their kits these days. Several years, and more recones than I can count went into developing these to provide kits that not only take the pounding that I know you’re going to give them, but also match the t/s parameters of the originals. These cones are pressed rather than pulp, so they are thinner but more dense, and retain the same mass as original. Kits include everything in the picture. Shims available on request.
