Up for sale here is this recap kit for the Technics SL-20 or SL-23 turntable. This is all the capacitors you need to rebuild the two circuit boards on a Technics SL-20 or SL-23. The old capacitors often get leaky, resulting in speed issues. These turntables will often have many other issues, and this kit comes with detailed instructions that will explain how to solve most problems that an SL-20 or SL-23 can have. This kit includes all 6 capacitors for the speed control board, as well as one capacitor to replace the one on the power supply board. The old cap is axial (one lead at each end), but the new one is radial (both leads at one end, and it will fit in perfectly. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I work on vintage stereo gear. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is a mildly complicated job, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, as well as Deoxit D5 or a similar contact cleaner. Technics SL-1200 Mk2 Speed Repair Kit Capacitors Turntable Rebuild Recap Set
Up for sale here is this complete rebuild kit for the Technics SL-1200 Mk2 (or the SL-1210 Mk2) turntable. This is all the capacitors you need to replace all of the electrolytic capacitors in your turntable, plus one new transistor to replace Q1 and two zener diodes to replace D2 and D301. Leaky capacitors can damage the IC chips, so even if your turntable is working, you should still recap it. Please note that this kit is for the SL-1200 Mk2 only. It will not work on the other versions. I have a kit for the SL-1200 Mk1 (the original one) available here. If you need a new D1 bridge rectifier for your Technics, that is available here. Recap Kit for Realistic Minimus 7 Speakers New MPT Polypropylene Film Capacitors
Up for sale here is this recap kit for a pair of Realistic Minimus 7 speakers, sometimes identified as #40-2030A, 40-2030B, 40-2030C, or 40-2034. This will let you completely recap two (2) Realistic Minimus 7 speakers. These are brand new Supertech MPT (metallized polypropylene film) capacitors, which are super-high-quality and will sound nice and clear. There are two 4.7 uf caps, one for each speaker. The old caps are pretty bad by this point, but these new film caps will get your speakers singing again! These are fairly easy to install as long as you know what you’re doing. You will need a decent soldering iron, solder, a Philips screwdriver, wire cutters, and a hot glue gun or rubber cement to aid in mounting the caps. Offered is the small power transformer. It is a 117VAC 60 cycle primary and 6.3VAC/280VAC secondary. The transformer is small, measuring 2 X 1 5/8 X 2 1/4 inches tall. Mounting holes are on bottom flanges with centers at 2 3/8 inches. Wire leads are between 6 and 12 inches in length. Pick up the little transformer for your own projects. Custom cut, high quality grill cloth replacement for the KLH Model Twenty One table radio, made with acoustically transparent material designed for speaker grills and custom cut to the size of the backer. Holes for the knobs, faceplate, and tuner have been pre-made, so installation is a snap. If your Model 21 is like most, the original speaker grill is probably shrunken, damaged, stained, or faded-or all of the above! It can’t be stretched back to cover the full length of the backer, making even a nice looking grill difficult to reuse. Some stains are permanent, and overall a nasty grill can ruin the look of the radio, especially if you’ve taken the time and effort to refinish the beautiful walnut cabinet. KLH’s original grill material is a nylon weave that has proven impossible to find a direct replacement for.
