Custom cut, high quality grill cloth replacement for the KLH Model Twenty One table radio, made with acoustically transparent material designed for speaker grills and custom cut to the size of the backer. Holes for the knobs, faceplate, and tuner have been pre-made, so installation is a snap. If your Model 21 is like most, the original speaker grill is probably shrunken, damaged, stained, or faded-or all of the above! It can’t be stretched back to cover the full length of the backer, making even a nice looking grill difficult to reuse. Some stains are permanent, and overall a nasty grill can ruin the look of the radio, especially if you’ve taken the time and effort to refinish the beautiful walnut cabinet. KLH’s original grill material is a nylon weave that has proven impossible to find a direct replacement for. The new grill is a semi-rigid, acoustically transparent light tan fabric with a bit of brown in the weave, it looks exceptional with the walnut cabinet and silver faceplate. The fabric is stiff enough to not sag across the speaker hole. You may like it better than the original! This listing is for ONE GRILL ONLY. Vintage Gold Fabric for Speaker Grill Cloth – Old Radio & Amp Grille Restoration
The fabric itself is not quite as thin as original grill cloth but it has been tested for sound quality and it allows optimal sound to pass through without any muffling or blockage. Not only does it look original but it adheres very nicely without the sagging, wrinkling, fraying or glue seepage that happens with thinner fabrics or reproductions.

Dynaco A50 Grille Cloth Fabric Acoustic Research, KLH Others
After a lot of searching for the fabric closest to the original dynaco fabric, I was able to acquire this material. It has the same threads per inch and almost identical style, allowing your speakers to sound AND look like they should. Many other fabrics available are too dense and block some higher frequencies. Dynaco used this style fabric on the A10, A25, A35, A50, and possibly others. Please note that the fabric on the left is the new fabric and the fabric on the right is the original nicotine stained material. This fabric is made of polyester and is a light beige color, but I do have some available in bright white, should you want it. Just let me know in a message with your order.
