You are bidding on (1) NOS Wakefield Engineering TO-5 & TO-39 transistor snap-on style flag heat sink; Wakefield part number 296-2-AB. These are the exact heat sinks used by Dynaco, Hafler, and others back in the day. Dynaco part number 767005. High quality, genuine Wakefield Engineering 296-2-AB heat sinks, made in the USA; they are no longer manufactured. Made of copper with a black Ebonol finish. Copper has higher thermal conductivity than aluminum thus is a better choice (if you can find them!) for equipment such as audio amplifiers. Nominal dimensions are 1.250″ W X 0.75″ T X 0.285″ ID. If you are after a period correct solid state look for your boards, here is your chance. These came from our buyout of the remaining inventory of the Dynaco National Service Center which closed down many years ago. Please study the photos as they form a part of the description. SV/SCC was the company that purchased nearly 250,000 pounds of Dynaco parts when Dynaco closed it’s doors back in 1979; they also purchased the existing Hafler inventory from the Rockford Fosgate Corporation back in the early 1990‘s. Quantities of some parts (both Dynaco and Hafler) are very limited as can be expected.
