Our Deluxe Kit for Marantz Receivers includes everything you need to electronically restore and upgrade the audio sections of your Marantz. This kit includes 36 Capacitors32 Transistors and diodes The included filter caps are upgraded in capacitance (from 6,800uf to 10,000uf) and voltage (35v to 50v) which will result in better bass and dynamics. The 2220B used two different relays over it’s lifespan. You can easily ascertain which relay you unit uses. The more common relay has a clear cover while the rare relay has a milky looking cover. We stock the standard relay, we do not stock the other. As of this writing, a competitor here on ebay does stock that relay for $30. This kit uses the exact same high quality parts but does not include parts for the tuning sections or the somewhat optional trimming resistors. This kit is perfect for the budget minded, those who simply don’t use the tuners much, or those new to this work. You may, of course, choose to restore the tuning section at a later date. Our kits use only the highest quality parts from authorized distributors. These kits save you valuable time and headache in sourcing the parts yourself. Having serviced and restored virtually every Marantz receiver in the past, our kits are accurate and vetted. If you can solder and desolder, consider yourself handy in any other way, and are deliberate and thoughtful, you can do this! Any audio gear over 20 years old can benefit from this procedure. Any unit over 30 years old risks failure of other parts without it. Electrolytic Caps drift and fail with time leading to a less detail, transient response, weak bass and mushy overall sound as well as potential failure leading to costly repair.
