Up for sale here is this brand new power switch with pushbutton and snubber capacitor. This will work on most vintage Marantz receivers and amplifiers from the 1970s. It will replace both the square-shaft and the flat-blade pushbutton Marantz power switches. The mounting holes are 20mm apart. Many original Marantz switches have holes that are 25mm apart, but there should be at least one extra sets of holes already there that this will fit into. The old pushbutton knob cap will not fit this properly, so that’s why a new knob is included. This is brand new and is higher-quality than the originals. It is guaranteed to work great for you. I use these switches on a LOT of vintage gear–they are great! This switch is no longer made, but I stocked up before it was discontinued so I have a large supply. The pushbutton may not be exactly the same length as the previous one, but it should be very close. The new pushbutton is 16 mm long and 10.4 mm in diameter. This will work for the following Marantz equipment: 105B 1030 1060 1070 1090 1120 2100 2110 2215 2215B 2216 2218 2220 2220B 2225 2230 2230B 2235 2235B 2238 2240 2240B 2245 2250 2250B 2252 2265 2270 2325 4220 4300 4400 5010B This will NOT work for the Marantz 2216B, 2226B, 2238B, 2252B, 2265B, 2285B, or 2330B. Those use a thinner pushbutton, so you will need to replace the switch and modify the old pushbutton to fit it. I have a switch available for those models here. This will NOT work for the Marantz 2010, 2015, 2275, 2285, 4230, 4240, 4270, or 4415–those use a special microswitch that I have available here. This will NOT work for the Marantz 1040, which uses a miniature microswitch that I do not have a replacement for. Installing this is simple–just wire it up exactly like the old one, using the new snubber capacitor to replace the old one. If you don’t see a snubber capacitor attached to your power switch, it is probably wired across one of the rear AC outlets, so just look back there and replace it there. If your old power switch only has 4 terminals, not 6, then ignore the two terminals on the new switch that are closest to the plunger, and just use the four rear terminals.
