Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Bose 550 Spatial Receiver. This includes replacements for all electrolytic and tantalum capacitors in the Bose 550, as well as replacements for 2 transistors that often need replacing. All capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Panasonic FC, Wima film, and two Nichicon VR 6800 uf 50v main filter capacitors. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I work on vintage stereo gear. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with a 40W, 60W, or 100W incandescent bulb. This kit may not fix your receiver, but it’s pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. Please see my pictures for details. BOSE 1801 front led lamps kit set bulbs lights with blue filters
I have been servicing Bose units for a while. With years I’ve developed deep respect toward Bose gear . It is a pity to see how many units are suffering from always failing incandescent bulbs! How much money is wasted for services to replace those incandescent bulbs over and over again! After many years of back and forth I decided to develop a perfect/exact LED replacement that has the same color temperature for the meters, indicators, lettering/paneling. Due to this I decided to develop these proper voltage bulbs. I got in touch with a manufacturer of LED bulbs and worked with them to develop this LED bulbs. I am glad to announce that I succeeded. I am very happy with the result and am sure you will be too! Bose 1801 Amplifier Restoration Kit repair service fix recap capacitor
The scarcity of good, honest techs who can do good and reasonably priced restoration/rebuild of audio equipment inspired me to create this restoration kit. In today’s day and age, it is difficult to find a knowledgeable technician who can service your audio gear properly. I have seen many poor quality restorations of equipment that cost way too much for their owners. In 99% of the cases, only a few parts were replaced, instead of a full and proper restoration job.A proper restoration must replace all electrolytic capacitors on all boards. Do not fall for partial kits that restore just one PCB (power supply, power amp, etc.). This is not a good or proper way to restore your audio equipment.
