Up for sale here is this complete rebuild kit for a Marantz 1040 amplifier. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Marantz 1040 power supply board, amplifier board, phono EQ board, and preamp board, plus it includes upgraded replacement main capacitors, and a new incandescent power light. This does not include a fuse, power switch, the “silver can” amp board transistors, or output transistors. The correct replacements for the original output transistors are MJ21195G and MJ21196G, which I have available here. Please do not buy any of the fake “Made in Japan” Chinese output transistors listed on eBay–these are counterfeit and will damage your amp. This kit includes the following: Power Supply Board: 4 capacitors5 diodes1 transistor Amplifier Board:9 capacitors4 transistors 4 trimmers4 diodes Phono EQ Board: 8 capacitors4 transistors Preamp Board:11 capacitors6 transistors 2 new main capacitors (same diameter as the old caps so they will fit the mount, upgraded uf/voltage rating)Wired incandescent bulb (I can substitute a wired blue LED if you prefer, just let me know)Instructions The kit for each board is bagged individually to make things easier. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The main capacitors are Nichicon LS 6800 uf 80v caps, the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, and the transistors and diodes are the correct Fairchild/Onsemi subs for the original transistors. These are not cheap Made in China parts, they are extremely high-quality and they are what I use when I rebuild Marantz equipment. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding an amplifier is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb.
