Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Pioneer SX-525. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Pioneer SX-525 power supply board, amplifier board, phono EQ board, and preamp board, plus it includes upgraded replacement main capacitors and 4 new output transistors. Lights I have listed separately. This includes the following: Power Supply Board: 5 capacitors7 diodes1 transistor Amplifier Board: 12 capacitors16 transistors2 resistors Phono EQ Board: 8 capacitors4 transistors Preamp Board:8 capacitors2 transistors Tuner Board: 12 capacitors 3 new main capacitors (same diameter as the old caps so they will fit the clamps)2 capacitors (one for the meter, one for the AWX-012 board) Instructions These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. The main caps are one Epcos 3300 uf 100v cap and two Cornell-Dubilier 4700 uf 63v caps, the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, and the transistors and diodes are the correct Fairchild/Onsemi subs for the original transistors. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. Two of the new main caps are a hair smaller than the old ones, so if you put a single layer of electrical tape around the base they will fit the clamps perfectly. This kit may not fix your Pioneer SX-525, but it’s pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. US shipping and handling is $6, and international is $28. Pioneer Light Replacement Kit w/ White LEDs Model SX-525 Receiver Lamp Bulbs
Up for sale here is this complete replacement lighting set for the Pioneer SX-525. You will receive: Six (6) snap-in warm white LED fuse lamps (for the tuning dial and meter) Five (5) wired 4mm warm white LEDs for the source lights & FM stereo light One (1) wired 8v 3mm orange LED for the tuning needle These are top-quality bulbs, and are the exact same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer gear. These are top-of-the-line lights–I love using them! I have found that warm white LED fuse lamps look the best for the tuning dial–they give a nice clean blue glow. You will need a soldering iron, wire cutters, needlenose pliers, heat-shrink tubing (and something to heat it with), and a Philips screwdriver. Be very careful not to damage the tuning dial cord when you’re soldering! If you wrap the dial cord in aluminum foil ahead of time, that will help protect it. Replacing the tuning needle light is a bit difficult–you need to carefully pry open the little metal holder above the needle, put in the new bulb, then close up the metal holder again. The replacement tuning needle LED wires are a bit shorter than the originals, so you may need to splice the wires, then cover them with either heat-shrink tubing or electrical tape. The scarcity of good, honest techs who can do good and reasonably priced restoration/rebuild of audio equipment inspired me to create this restoration kit. In today’s day and age, it is difficult to find a knowledgeable technician who can service your audio gear properly. I have seen many poor quality restorations of equipment that cost way too much for their owners. In 99% of the cases, only a few parts were replaced, instead of a full and proper restoration job.A proper restoration must replace all electrolytic capacitors on all boards.
