  • Sansui AU-717 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Recap Transistors Relay AU-710

Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui AU-717 (or AU-710) amplifier. This is a tedious and annoying process, and involves either acetone-soaked cotton balls, a lot of scraping, or both.

  • Sansui 2000A Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Transistors

Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui 2000A receiver. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Sansui 2000A, and includes the correct size replacement main filter capacitors. This does not include new lights or fuses. This also does not include the driver or output transistors. Correct replacement outputs are four MJ21196G, available here. Please don’t buy any of the Chinese transistors on eBay–those are counterfeit and can blow up. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the four large chassis-mount capacitors, which are replaced with three new Epcos 3300 uf 100v caps and one Epcos 1200 uf 100v cap. The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly. The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards except the tuner board. Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you’re doing a rebuild. Replacements for the driver board trimmers and a number of diodes are also included. This kit also includes two capacitors and two resistors to apply some of the “Conrad mods” to the driver board. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic FC, Wima film, 4 Supertech axial caps, 2 Kemet safety disc caps, and 4 Epcos snap-in caps. Transistors and diodes are Fairchild/Onsemi. This kit includes a total of 102 parts. The parts for each board are individually bagged for ease of installation, and the instructions will tell you how the transistors and diodes go in, but there are a LOT of parts to replace here, so if you do not have a lot of experience with vintage gear I would not recommend starting with this one. You should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with 40W, 60W, or 100W incandescent bulb. I would recommend a a desoldering gun such as a Hakko FR-301, but it’s not absolutely necessary. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $10, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches, feet, pushbuttons, top case screws, bottom screws, faceplate screws, white LED fuse lamps, blue LED fuse lamps, 6.3v bi-pin bulbs, 8v bi-pin bulbs, 12v bi-pin bulbs, wired 8v 60ma bulbs, new power cords, new main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230, wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements, new 630v yellow film capacitors at 38 different values, new 1200v yellow film capacitors at 15 values, a large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair, new Wima film capacitors for stereo repair, new 250v yellow film crossover capacitors, and more. Just use “add to cart” on everything you want and then check out for combined shipping.

  • Sansui AU-719 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Recap Set Transistors Relay

Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui AU-719 amplifier. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Sansui AU-719, and includes the correct size replacement main filter capacitors, bypass caps for the main filters, a new relay, replacements for the fuse resistors, and replacements for the dreaded “Black Flag” capacitors. This does not include replacement driver or output transistors. This kit includes replacements for all electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the four large chassis-mount capacitors, which are upgraded to new 15000 uf 63v Kemet caps. The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly. The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards. Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you’re doing a rebuild. Replacements for the driver board trimmers and many of the zener diodes and MV12 diodes are also included. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic FC, Panasonic film, Wima film, and Kemet for the main filter caps. Transistors and diodes are made by Onsemi, Toshiba, and Diodes Incorporated. Resistors are 1% metal film. This kit includes a total of 144 parts. This is not a quick and easy rebuild, it will take a decent amount of time and effort. The instructions will explain how everything goes in, but will not cover how to disassemble your amplifier. This is a complicated job, so if you do not have a lot of experience with vintage gear you should not start with this one. You should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with 75W or 100W incandescent bulb. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $12, and international is $28.
