The automatic function does not work properly. Manual mode works, but it still requires assistance by hand. If the platter is spun manually, the tonearm will continue moving back toward the rest position.

Vintage Garrard 50 MK II Turntable For Parts Not Working
See photos. (Maybe it’s not even the right dust cover!). There are wires to plug it in to other components, a grounding wire, and a power cord. Nothing happens when it is plugged in to a live outlet- it does not pop the breaker!
