Before an item is listed for sale we do the following:• Visual Inspection of components especially capacitors, resistors, and transistors. • The unit is powered up and injected with a sine wave, checked out for total harmonic distortion with our HP 8903b audio analyzer. • We replace the critical aged components like the electrolytic capacitors and others as needed.• For receivers, we generate an RF frequency to set and tune the stations.• An oscilloscope is used to verify outputs and a clean signal. • After the burn-in time, a final check with reference speakers assures that the amplifier/receiver is working correctly.
